Feeding breads to ducks can be lethal.

While bread can be delicious, it has no nutritional values. Feed ducks with bread, especially white bread, will fill them and will leave no space for more highly valuable food.

“Feeding birds is something that people have done for generations and we definitely don’t want to discourage that,” Richard Bennett, an environment manager at the Canal and River Trust, at the time. “But we have to think about how we do it.”
